Why is my iPad unsupported to pair with my new iPhone?
My new iPhone will not pair with my iPad. The message says it’s unsupported. Why is this?

Your iPhone 6 did not pair. iOS devices have never paired with each other.

My iPhone 6s paired with my iPad. I could text from either device to other Apple users. Now it’s either/or. I just got an iPhone 11. It’s discoverable, but won’t pair. I liked the option of having both for text messaging. It’s not world peace, but liked the convenience.
Because there are no supported Bluetooth protocols to do so. What are you hoping to accomplish?
Because that’s the way it is.
For obvious security reasons, Apple does not allow any direct Bluetooth pairing between their various mobile devices.
