silverlight installation

I tried using netflix with my macbook, but when I play a movie it asks me to install Sulverlight. I downloaded Silverlight and tried to install it but the installation is not successful. Help 😭 😭 😭 😭 😭

I have Macos 10.14.6

Safari requesting Silverlight plugin for Netflix I just updated my Mac and it won't let me watch Netflix anymore and says I need to install Microsoft silverlight plug in or watch it on safari but it isn't letting me watch it on safari and there are no updates needed. [Re-Titled by Moderator]

There is no need for Silverlight.

Use HTML 5 coded web pages.

Safari 12 and 13 do not support the Silverlight plugin.
