ID password hacking

I have been getting phone calls stating that Apple is having issues with Apple IDs being hacked and that I need to change my Apple ID. They said they are calling from Cupertino and then hung up when I told them I had questions. I disregarded the call but is this another scam?

Apple does not make such calls.

All such calls are scams from criminals attempting to steal your personal and financial information. The callers will often use number spoofing to pretend they are calling from a legitimate business. The correct course of action is to hang up on them, repeatedly if needed.
