How do you get your apple calendar to appear on your apple watch?

Access the calendar app directly or through a watch face complication,

Force touch screen.

Display options appear. On my watch, I see List, Day, Today,

Up next seems to be the default.

If I choose Day, the display shows “Today.” with a circled < to its left.

Tapping that displays the days of the month.
