Cracked iPhone X camera

My wife’s iPhone X camera seems to have cracked of its own accord, but from inside. No visible damage externally, but clear signs of cracking when using the camera. She swears it hasn’t been dropped, and has been cased since day 1.

Seen various reports of this. How does she go about getting it sorted?
