Not able to sync iBooks between iPad & iPhone

Not able to sync iBooks between iPad & iPhone

I cannot make my iPad and iPhone sync to the furthest location I've advanced in either device. Has anybody had the same problem and was able to solve it? I guess the whole purpose is that whatever reading yo've done in one device reflects o the other, otherwise a lot of time is wasted in finding the right location.

Mac Book Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.4)

You can install iBooks on both by simply selecting them in the Books tab when your device is connected to iTunes. I believe you can have an iBook on up to 5 devices maximum at a time,

mezirion, please upgrade to iBooks 1.1.1. You should find this working quite nicely.

I have the same problem. My books on iPad do not all show up on iPhone. Sone do but not all. Why?

You need to be more specific. Are you talking iBooks downloaded books, or Kindle, or a combination of both?

Without knowing the source of your books, it can make it harder to help.

Wow this is an OLD thread!! But my new iPad is not getting my iBook library from my iphone4 or my ipod4 touch. These are books that have all been purchased through the iBooks store. And I DO have the 'sync collections' turned ON for all my devices.

Did you ever figure out how to do this?

I have PDFs and books that I downloaded from the OU anywhere app as part of my course. They are sitting on my iPhone but are not appearing on my new iPad.

iOS is up to date on both devices, both have allow sync turned on and when I have connected both to my computer and iTunes I ticked the option to sync over wifi.

I can't see any 'book' tab that people refer to, in fact when my devices are connected my books are not something that I can see my books on iTunes at all, just music and photos.

I've been to the iBook bookstore but they do not appear in purchases either (I'm guessing because I downloaded them and didn't buy them.)

Still no joy.

Everything else appears to sync why the issue with iBooks?
