remove sim card on trade in phone
when I trade in my phone, should I remove my sim card? The new phone came with a good sim card.

It's usually easiest to keep using the SIM that you've been using but, if you've already activated the new SIM, just throw away the old one. It's useless. If you leave it in the phone when you trade it in, it will be thrown away by the trade in company.
