New version of iOS for iPhone 5

The iPhone 5 is over 7 years old and it's aging 32-bit hardware cannot support iOS 11, 12 or the latest iOS 13.

It cannot be updated past 10.3.4. If you need iOS 11 or later, please get a newer iPhone model.

An iPhone 5 cannot be updated past iOS 10.3.3.

Or 10.3.4 since last November.

Due to it not being powerful enough to run the features of iOS 11. This is called the devices End Of Life or EOL, where it is no longer supported by Apple.

EOL? I wouldn't use that expression. My cousin is still using his model 4 (being content, of course, with the features supported by its operating system version, no longer updatable).
