Good day everyone am pleased to be welcomed to this community. Please how can I send a normal message to my iMessage contact when am not online.Thanks

If you turn on Send as SMS, if iMessage is not available, and you have an SMS plan on your cellular account, you can send. However, it can be delayed, especially if iMessage is available for the other user, until you are connected to data again. This is assuming that you have a SIM in the phone and a current SMS/MMS plan.

iMessage requires that you be connected to the internet. It uses data rather than the cellular band like SMS. You can use cellular data if you have that, as well as wi-fi.
