Apple Wallet app lock-up on iPhone 11ProMax

Apple Wallet app lock-up on iPhone 11 Pro Max:

First I opened Wallet to pay early, transaction completed then I swiped up, many times, to close it. It won't close. I can not unlock phone by swipe up screen. Since swipe up does not work, I can not return to home screen.

How can I quit/exit Wallet app?
