how do i add book covers to my audiobooks in books

I have a bunch of books that I've tried adding into Apple Books. There doesn't seem to be a way to edit any of the information or update, change, or add a bookcover either. How can I add a bookcover image to books I have that are only showing up with Apples generic covers that only have the title and author on the front?

How to stop Apple Books merging files? I have a number of audiobook files which are part of a series of book titles by the same author. Each file is a complete, standalone book with its own chapters and artwork. When importing them into Books they are all merged into a single audiobook. How can I keep each title as a separate audiobook?

You used to be able to drag an image from desktop onto a book. It might work for audiobooks too.
