Find iPad model, based on Serial
I want to purchase a new cover for my wife's iPad for Christmas, but don't know what model it is. I have the IMEI / Serial # from our wireless carrier. Is there a way to determine the model and size from that?

This Apple articles uses the model number on the back of the case (in tiny print--get a magnifier!)

In addition to support status it should return your model information.
