The locations tab in Finder is not showing up when i connect my iphone (mac Catalina)

Ever since the new Catalina update where they moved the iPhone syncing to the finder tab I couldn't find my connected iPhone(I have it connected with a cable through the usb slot) I've allowed "iOS devices to show up" in the finder preferences but still nothing. It's not just my iPhone not showing, it's the ENTIRE Locations tab in the sidebar.

MacBook Air 13", macOS 10.15

The phone does have to be turned on - something I frequently overlook.
