I have 3 email addresses. I've checked with others in my Contacts Folder, and none have received emails from that particular address. It would appear if I've been hacked why would a person who is not a Contact of mine, receive email.
It could be scammers who are spoofing your address. If they are doing that, it doesn't matter if the recipient is in your Contacts application or not. They could be using your address to contact people you don't even know.
Email address can be spoof, your friend should take care with online activities.
Thanks, your reply was very helpful. I'll let my friend know.
Interesting response. From your response and the original question, it sounds to me, that she was possibly hacked. And that wouldn’t be her issue. It would be the hackers fault.
How do identify if this is happening and how do you fix it?
Hadn't thought about that. Could you recommend a solution? Should I close this particular email address?
