Video Editing Software for Power PC G5 OSX 10.5.8

Hello,

I hope I am in the correct computer category. I have a PowerPC G5 OSX 10.5.8. I have a lot of video editing that I would like to do, but don't have a program. I can't afford to buy a new computer, but would like to know if anyone has suggestions on what versions of Final Cut, or any other editing program would work on my computer.

Before doing anything else, check if iMovie or iMovie HD is in the Applications folder, and if so, try it. If not, you can use iLife 09 if your computer meets the system requirements, or iLife 06 on any G5, as well as Final Cut Express 4 and Final Cut Studio 2.

Thanks Man, unfortunately this comp doesnt have the i life package. But I am looking into what will work for my budget.

Budgetary restraints would push me to suggesting looking on eBay etc for Final Cut Express 3.5. It's the previous version of this software, and some say better than the current version.

If you do need more than FCE, you could also look for Final Cut Pro 5.0/5.1, which would likely do anything you'd need, for much less than the shelf price of the latest Final Cut Studio at an Apple dealer.

Perhaps a video conversion software would be more appropriate 。
