Apple TV+ Video goes dark while playing

Hi

I have started having an issue when streaming shows on Apple TV+. I’ll be watching it fine then suddenly it goes dark and I can only see the outline and shadows of people or the scene. It does this on my iPad Air 3rd Generation running iPadOS 13.3 and my iPad mini 5 running iOS 12.4.1

i have tried reinstalling iPadOS on my iPad to see if it was software related however it still does it and makes watching shows hard.

Has anyone else encountered this issue?
