iMessage

I’ve had two iPhones both an iPhone 5s and a now iPhone 7 with both phones my iMessage doesn’t work. I can’t send or receive messages and when i check my iMessage in settings it aways says waiting for activation...anyone knows what i have to do about this? Thanks

iOS 16 iMessages waiting for activation I’ve just updated to iOS 16 and now my iMessages isn’t working. It just says waiting for activation. I’ve reset network settings, I’ve reset my phone, I’ve turned iMessages on and off and I’ve also powered down my phone. The Apple servers don’t report any problem though? Messages - If you get an error when trying to activate iMessage or FaceTime

Messages Troubleshooting

Do you have access to another WiFi network where you can try? That has worked for several people.

Try a restart.

Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Try a forced restart.

If necessary

Do a backup and try a factory reset. Then restore from your backup.

Restore to Factory setting

Backup - Restore your device from an iCloud or iTunes backup
