trackpad size causing trouble when I type

Why do I sometimes start typing up higher in my document? I feel like it is because this trackpad is larger that before.

Why does Cursor move unpredictably on new mouse and pad? I have a brand new Mouse and a new mouse pad...the cursor still jumps wherever it wishes. It is beyond annyoying at this point. With due respect for the experience on here, the answers are usually something with the 'driver'. I have found that it ends up being some option somewhere that an 'update' caused. I am editing a document...12 pages and have several spots where I need to add a space between words....I place the cursor there, hit enter...and the cursor goes to the first page !! That could be. It took me a long time to adapt to the larger trackpad.
