Apple Watch unpairing while setting up

Hi, I'm currently trying to set up my Apple Watch after it had been lost in my drawer for 4 months. Every time I try to set it up, even when I move them close together, they will not pair with each other. I've tried with and without updating. I am on iOS 13.3 and watchOS 6.0.
