My watch keeps asking me to “sign in to complete a purchase” by entering a password to my old Apple ID that I no longer use nor do I know the password too.

Is there an easy way to tell what that purchase is? In my case, I got my wife's old iphone and apple watch, so I kept some of her purchases. It would be nice if the message included the app in question (in which case I would delete and get it on my own). I have alot of apps on my watch/phone and it would be nice if they could be sorted by id...but hopefully it's not painful to tell what the app(s) in question are (but I haven't figured it out yet).

Open your Apple Watch app on your phone and go to “My Watch”

Go to Settings/General & turn off Automatic App Install.

Now go back to “My Watch” and scroll to the bottom to see “Available Apps”.

Any apps you see that are trying to install are the culprits causing the notifications!

Delete those apps from your phone, and if necessary reinstall them with your current Apple ID.

Turn Automatic App Install back on if necessary.

This is an old app that you downloaded or purchased with your old apple password,it needs to be deleted and if you still want it reinstall it again with your present apple id.
