Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
my imessage will not let me log in to my apple id and underneath imessage it says “activating” and i’ve had this phone for 2 years (iphone 7) and this is the first time it’s done it. i have sms too and have restarted my phone. what can i do?

Messages - If you get an error when trying to activate iMessage or FaceTime
Do you have access to another WiFi network where you can try? That has worked for several people.
Try a forced restart.
If necessary
Do a backup and try a factory reset. Then restore from your backup.
