I have a Polar chest strap heart rate monitor. Does anyone know what steps I need to take so that I can get heart rate alerts on my apple watch (without having my phone with me when I workout)?

I figure it out. Download the app - WorkOutDoors. It's $6 but worth it. Has so many capabilities! I was able to set a max heart rate and then when I hit that I can get a variety of alerts. Screens are super customize-able. Check it out.
