I forgot my encrypted password to my backup on my laptop. this is my own personal laptop and I need pictures of a relative from the old backup, but I do not remember my encrypted Password. help!

Sorry to hear. You can keep trying with all the passwords you ever used.

But if you don't remember then you can only restore as new, you cannot restore from that backup.

There's no other way.
