Can I use the magic mouse 2 with the ipad?

Hello,

Apple states in Settings that Magic Mouse and Magic Trackpad are not supported.

That being said there is a work around.

Turn off Magic Mouse

Disable AssistiveTouch

Open Settings > Switch Control > Switches > Bluetooth

Hold down the Mouse Button while turning on the bottom Magic Mouse switch. The indicator light should now flash. 

Select Magic Mouse on your iPad.

Now enable AssistiveTouch.

Connect a Bluetooth mouse or trackpad to your iPad - Apple Support

As of iPad OS 13.3.1, the Apple Magic Mouse 2 is not supported, sadly.

Support for the Magic Mouse 2/Magic Trackpad 2 is available in the soon/recently released iPadOS 13.4.

You own a 2014 iPad Air 2 ( 2nd generation ) that I am assuming is running the current iPadOS 13.5.

You can use either the Apple Magic Mouse 2 or Magic Trackpad 2 or most other wireless, Bluetooth mice with that iPad.

Magic Mouse 2 is supported with iPadOS 13.4.

I tried that and I can’t. I got a Magic Mouse 2 for Christmas and I just don’t wanna not use it.
