Catalina not updating to 10.15.2!

HI aloknath,

You can try downloading the update manually and see if you are able to install it that way. macOS Catalina 10.15.2 combo update download page.

Also, you could try booting into Safe Mode if it doesn't work installing it manually.

When you boot your Mac, hold down the shift key until you see the login screen. It will safe SafeBoot in Red in the menu bar.

Login and try to apply the update this way via system preferences.

What is the current macOS you are running? (maybe it was included in an image that got removed.)

Not neccessary but If you post about this Mac—you have to redact the serial number.

If you are having issues with the combo update/ even while in Safe boot—it is a bit of a curiousity I have not seen

We could trouble shoot this further or

from the terminal.app you can download the complete 10.15.2 directly (?)

from terminal enter the command line, copy and paste:

softwareupdate --fetch-full-installer --full-installer-version 10.15.2
