How to find a stolen phone by using imei?

I buy a new phone and the data in the phone was reset. And yesterday that phone was stolen by others people while that phone still new and no data was update in that phone. So it’s too hard to track in using Find my iphone. So i wanted to use imei to track my phone. How can i find my iphone using imei?
