Iphone 11 Pro Wide Lens Issue

My wide lens will not open for Photo Mode anymore, It only goes from 1x to 2x .. I Used to be able to shoot photos in 0.5 but now it automatically opens in 2x and wont let me open 0.5 camera anymore.. is this just for me or is anybody else experiencing this issue, I rang apple today and they said I should send it to them for repair but thats ridiculous the phone is brand new and I cant go without a phone I need it for work? anyone have any suggestions or help?
