My Magic Mouse 2 is not responding to the Preferences Selected

I don't have the use one finger to slide left & right, but it's doing it anyway. It's also, every now and then, blowing up my screen to way beyond "full screen" size, and won't respond to zoom out, but only when I click "actual size" in the view menu! It's a royal pain, as I can't do anything until I go in that menu and manually kick it down.

Oh, and when I just move my mouse, to the left, it will cause streaming video to stop, until I move it back to the right, just adding to the heater skelter aspect of using this thing.

Why is this happening, or does it just mean my mouse is defective, and I should just exchange it for another one?
