Can't delete Photos Library.photoslibrary

Hello,

I'm using macOS Sierra and after importing my Aperture library into Photos (Version 2.0 (3161.4.140)) and some experimenting (never used iCloud for Photos) I want to start from scratch, using my old Original Aperture library which I have on backups.

So I wanted to delete all libraries in my Pictures folder. I could delete Aperture Library 2.aplibrary (5 GB) and Aperture Library.aplibrary (8 MB), but I can't delete Photos Library.photoslibrary (was 4 GB). In Photos I managed to delete all photos, so the library is now only 169MB, but still I can't delete it. I only see the following but nothing happens:

In Activity Monitor there are two processes running:

Photo Agent (which I could quit, but this didn't help)
com. apple.CloudPhotosConfiguration (which I could not quit; didn't try to force-quit)

Thank you for your answer.

At the moment I'm in a situation where I would prefer to avoid restarting.

(need to backup, but want to delete the library first, mounted a lot of Finder windows of other network Macs...)

I tried a Photos library repair (even though it contained no photos, the size got even smaller!),

and then I could delete it! :-)

Have you tried to restart the Mac, and then tried again to delete the Photos Library? Do not start Photos after restarting the Mac.
