Volume indicator not showing

Hi all!

I've got an apple macbook pro (2015) and running bootcamp to use windows 10.

When using windows and pressing the volume's button on the keyboard it doesn't produce the "pop" sound anymore and the volume indicator icon on the desktop doesn't appear. (see attached pictures)

Same issue when I press the keyboard brightness button, the icon doesn't appear anymore. It started suddenly a few days ago.
