Erasing a MacBook

Hi, I’ve got a enquiry here. If I erase the MacBook, and login with a different Apple ID, Would it certainly remove my old photos messages and everything?

I need to Erase Mac I bought a new Mac and need to erase it to send to Apple for a trade in. When I was setting up my new one I think I "merged" the old and the new. If I erase the old one, will it erase the data off the new one, too? My husband used to do all this stuff but he passed away, maybe someone can help. Thanks in advance.

If you have them set up to be stored in iCloud, then they'd not sync back to the Mac using a different AppleID.

All of the content would be in the cloud for the other AppleID.
