Moved text box on text messages

Hello. Somehow I have moved the text block from above my keyboard to the top of the screen or middle of a text message on my iPhone 11. How do I get the text box back to above the keyboard at the bottom of the screen? I have tried searching which suggests holding the keyboard symbol at the bottom right of the keyboard but there doesn’t appear to be this symbol. Thank you.
