iMovie Newbee- Help!

Trying to edit old 8mm home movies that required transfer to iMovie format. Done with Handbreak, but organized as two videos. Each video is one clip so I have to manually separate into meaningful clips (Events?). The screenshot will help explain. Mistakenly (I think), I have both video files in the 10-18-19 Library. I wanted 'San Diego Ellen' to be one project (highlighted), but I think it is both of them.

Questions:

  1. How do I unscamble Library and Projects so 'San Diego Ellen' is one project and the other is 'Travel'?
  2. There are clips in San Diego Ellen that I want to move to Travel. How do I do that? Do have to delete Travel and import it separately and name it Travel?
  3. If I have them as separate projects, do I drag and drop clips into the appropriate Project?
  4. 4. Is there a good tutorial that covers this? Those I have looked at cover editing and ignore the setup issues.

Thanks,

Import everything into one iMovie project titled San Diego Ellen. In the timeline, do a Modify/Split clip at the points where you want to split split the clips into segements. Select each segment that you want to place in the Travel project (so that the segment is outlined in yellow) and then Edit/Copy, Edit/Paste, it into a newly created project titled "Travel". Working with the clips one at a time, use that procedure to get all of your travel clips into the Travel project. When you are finished, the original project will contain all of the San Diego Ellen clips. So, you will now have a San Diego Ellen project and a Travel project.
