access photos in iPhotos after catalina upgrade
Upgraded to Catalina, my iPhotos icon has a no symbol. I have most of my photos there- how do i access these?

You can open the iPhoto Library in Photos for Mac, see: Updating from iPhoto to Photos for OS X - Apple Support
By default your iPhoto Library should be in your Pictures folder.
If there is an iPhoto Library on your Mac, Photos for mac should be able to find it.
Photos will create a new library from the iPhoto library. That will allow you to export the photos to another application, or you can use Photos to browse the photos and albums or to edit the photos.
