The Apple watch serie 2 screen went black! Any reason?

Did your apple watch just suddenly power off? Did the watch sustain any damage before this happened?

Try force restarting the watch by following the instructions here:https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204510

Check to see if you accidently turned on theatre mode or do not disturb.
