charging apple watch series 5

Am I forced to use the magnetic charger that Apple provided with the watch or can I charge it on my Apple I-Phone wireless charger?

It's not recommended to use a 3rd party charger, one good reason is when you try to update the watch and it's on a 3rd party charger then the update might be rejected,I have personal experience of this,it happened to me and as soon as I put the watch back on the original charger it updated straight away.

The charging technology that the Apple Watch uses is different from the iPhone. You can’t keep your watch on an iPhone wireless charger and charge it. You have to buy a specific wireless charger for your Apple Watch. And it makes no sense unless you are looking forward to buy a 2 or 3 in 1 wireless charger. Hope this helps 😁
