Found my old iPod Touch 4th Gen ( MC540LL/A ). What can I still do with it?

Do I stumbled on my old iPod touch and a charging cord. I charged it and it still works great. I love this little device!

The problem is that Apple no longer offers any services for it. Nothing works with it. It has the latest possible software, 6.1.6 (10B500), but there are no apps that work with it and not even iCloud works with it. I used to have all my data backup to iCloud (its own account) but all that data is now gone and I cannot even sync it anymore.

I was thinking resetting it and giving it to a kid in the family, but if I reset it, I will lose all the apps I have installed on it, and not be able to get them back, and there are no new ones that are compatible.

What can I still do with the amazing little device? Surely I don't just have to chunk it.
