Canon MB2320 wireless network
The finder cannot seem to notice my Canon MB2320 on the LAN. The machine supports Mac so I have a MacBook and it cannot see anything at all.

Have you tried resetting the printing system according to this Apple document: If you can't print from your Mac or iOS device - Apple Support
Have you tried using Image Capture or Preview to scan? The printer won't be recognized unless it's on according to its manual.
Even though my scanner works with the Canon software I use VueScan to do my scanning as it's much more versatile and robust. You can download the free, demo version and give it a try before purchasing.
I can see the print there but scanning is not offered
my printer has its own stand and its on all the time as a workgroup printer
it has print/fax(not used)/scan and it has duplex capability as well
I have tried all that. Keep in mind I am using my ISP's network box and not the Apple unit.
Did you sign your printer on to your LAN via the printer's menu window? Once done it should be accessible via the System/Printers & Scanners preference pane.
This is for a Canon MG7720 that is setup wirelessly
