Not user how you did that, but just press the button and slide it out.

You have to follow the video to fix the issue.
You should have received a quick start guide that shows where the button was, you can also use your Books app to download the user guide and they have a YouTube channel with videos.
I appreciate your response Deggie, but the problem was I didn't know where the button was! Apple needs to provide complete directions for newbies like me.
