Can't play songs on Ipod Classic connected to iTunes (MAC) | Can't have right button options on songs

Hi everyone,

Can't play any song from iPod Classic on iTunes. Play icon on iTunes is greyed out. Yes, iPod is configured to manually manage songs.

Other issue, possible related, can't have right button options on any song on iPod. To delete them must press backspace. Songs aren't removed until I sync iPod again.

Thanks.

See What happened to iTunes? - Apple Support. Change is not always an improvement. 😕

Deleting items from a manually managed device is now through Finder > Device > Manage Storage.

Yes, sure.

After connect my iPod to iTunes, I see all songs on iPod, but I can't play any of them. Songs are not on library, but on the device. Can't play them because the play icon, on top of screen, is grey (it should be black, as I recall).

The songs on iPod have no right click options. I can´t access to info, for instance. Not a single options is shown upon right click on a song, or a group of songs.

For remove them from iPod, I must select songs and press backspace BUT they just be removed when I sync the device again. Until then, they are shown on the device songs list with not even a deletion mark to distinguish the ones I'll keep from the ones I'll delete. Few times ago, if I selected songs to remove, they were deleted immediately from iPod.

Ipod was already restored. The problems is still there. iTunes is updated, as my Mac.
