Software update/install now

I just got a new iPhone XR for Christmas. You need the new software update on it to set up your phone. I have left it for a while but it doesn’t change. The loading wheel thing has been next to the words “install now”, now like this for multiple hours. I know this process normally takes a while, but it’s been like this for the whole day.

However, i'v been on the software update screen Install Now with the little blue circle going round and round for more than two hours already.
