Why did my new iPad Pro 1 TB not come with a SIM card

Firstly, Wi-Fi only models of iPad do not have cellular capabilities. Secondly, iPad Pro uses an eSIM which is soldered to the logic board and does not use a SIM card.

Use of a physical SIM is generally not necessary - unless your chosen Carrier does not support the built-in eSIM that is native to the latest generation of iPads Pro.

Most Carriers support service provisioning via eSIM (where no physical SIM is required).
