Hello,

If your iPad will not update past 9 then you have either an iPad 2, iPad (3rd generation) or iPad mini (1st generation). These iPad models do not support any system version newer than 9. You cannot update your iPad any further. If you need to use software that requires a newer system software version then you will need to purchase a newer iPad model.

You have an iPad that cannot be upgraded beyond iOS 9.3.5/9.3.6.

These iPad models are nearly 7, 8 and 9 -year old devices, now!

Their internal hardware is too old, underpowered and completely incompatible with any current and future versions of iOS.

Sorry. It is what it is at this very late date.

If you need an iPad that can run the latest and greatest versions of iOS, as well as, the most current apps available, then, you will need to purchase a new iPad from Apple or a discounted, refurbished iPad from Apple’s Refurbished & Clearance section of Apple’s Website.

Best of Luck to You!

These procedures will NOT work, now.

Many, I repeat, MANY third party app developers, since the beginning of 2019, have removed all older versions of their apps from the Apple App Store servers.

There is absolutely NO WAY NOW WHATSOEVER to get older app versions of Twitter OR YouTube, now.

And there is no way to access YouTube Website from that over 3-year old version of the iOS Safari Web browser.

You will need to seek out third party, still iOS 9 compatible Web browsers and test to see if these will work with the YouTube Website, at this late period in time!

Whatever you saw on YouTube will no longer work or is valid, at this point in time.

Sorry. it is what it is.
