I upgraded to Catalina and now my computer will not open my photos. It says iphoto is not supported. How is this possible?

I upgraded to Catalina and now it says that iPhoto is not supported and it will not open. Where are my pictures? How do I get it supported?

iPhoto depends on a 32-bit library and won't run in Catalina. Use Photos or another application instead; if Photos doesn't automatically open the library, launch it with the Option key held down and choose it.
