Trying to set up my new MacBook Air and it’s said setting up account for the past 8 hours now

I’m trying to set up my new MacBook Air and it’s said setting up account for the past 8 hours now. Is there something I can do to speed this up?

Hold the power button for about 10 seconds to shut down the computer. Then restart it. It should start normally in your account. What's happened isn't normal but it happens and most times everything is okay.
