update to IOS 10 +++

I have an IPD A1395. I want to download an app and it wont let me .It says that I need to have IOS 10++ to download. Why is this ?

Hello,


You have an iPad 2. This iPad model does not support any system version newer than 9. You cannot update your iPad any further. If you need to use software that requires a newer system software version then you will need to purchase a newer iPad model.

Because many, MANY third party app developers have now stopped supporting old, aged, 6.7, 8 and 9-year old iPads running 3-years old or more older iOS versions.

Apple and third party app developers have moved on to supporting much newer Apple mobile hardware and newer more up to date versions of iOS, now.

Older Apple devices, as of the beginning of 2019, are no longer going to be supported, any longer.

Whatever apps are still on this old iPad and are still working are the apps these old iPads are going to be left with.


Time to purchase new modern iPad or a discounted, refurbished iPad from Apple.
