my ipod classic is connecting to my computer but itunes is not reconizing it, i have deleted itunes and reinstalled it and also restored my ipod to factory settings

Try If your computer doesn't recognize your iPhone, iPad, or iPod - Apple Support. If you put the device in disk mode does it show up in Windows Explorer or Finder?
