attachments

After updating to 13.3 on both my iPad and my iPhone X, Mail downloads attachments, let me preview them but when I try to open them in Excel or Words to save them, Mail shuts down immediately. Anyone knows a fix to share? Thank you!

As a workaround you can DO it as follows:

Click and hold on attachment.
Select Share
Select MS Word
Attachment will open in Word

This is a painful and frustrating part with the new update. I can preview MS Office attachments, but the moment I try to open them on MS Excel/Word/Powerpoint using the "More" tab, the Mail app crashes.

The workaround is saving every file and opening it separately through the respective MS Office app. This is not how iOS is supposed to make our lives simpler!

Don't think any solution has been offered yet.

It does work, many thanks!

But what I mentioned above is a bug (?) and needs a resolution too. Hope that's also being solved. At times, one wants to decide to edit an attachment only after previewing it, and the preview option was quick and useful.
