My ipad 2 wont charge even with apple cables and port is cleared with debris

Suddenly it will not charge with any cord used. It just shows the red no charge batter along with the cord and lighting bolt. I cleared out the plug in port, tried multiple charges to wall or to computer. Nothing works. Any other suggestions?

An iPad 2 is almost 9 years old, now.

It is possible the battery has finally failed in that iPad.

It is not worth repairing or replacing the battery in this old an iPad.

Time to consider a new or discounted, refurbished iPad from Apple.
