word docs opening in pages on my iPad pro

How do i stop my iPad pro from opening word docs in pages? The suggestion given previously do not seem to apply to my iPad .. Thank you for your help

Hello,

Is Microsoft Word installed on your iPad? If you only have Pages installed then iPad will open Microsoft Word documents in Pages. if you long-press on the document > Open in Microsoft Word.
